I have gambled on countless of rounds of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of cash at blackjack. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is founded on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had awesome streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can say good-bye to much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be amazed at the runs you notice wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Wager five dollar
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet
Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first $10 wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the original $20 wager
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $40 wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
